Chalk it up! Festival

We went to the annual Chalk it Up! Festival this weekend. Here are a few shots of the artwork. I’m testing out the Animoto slideshow for this…

Hope.

I took this awhile back when we hiked Mount Diablo. It really struck me how beautiful it was that this little tree was growing right of the rock even with no soil in sight. Reminded me of hope.

I wait for the LORD, my soul waits,
and in his word I put my hope.”
Psalm 30:5 (NIV)

Hope.

This morning…

This morning, Teddy (our cairn terrier) & I went out early for a walk; I even jogged a bit (Go, Me!). It felt good to enjoy the fresh air – I love the mornings after a good a rain. The light is always so pretty & colors are vibrant. I had my awesome, little point & shoot camera with me, too.  I forget sometimes that I live in such a beautiful area.

I love a good sun flair & a trail...

These Past Two Days…

Tonight I’m feeling full – so grateful for these days.  Yesterday I had such a great time with my 7 year old and her class;  we went on a field trip to the Sacramento Zoo.  It was so fun to speed around the zoo with happy, energetic first graders.  And today, I went on another “field trip” =) with two wonderful friends to Napa. We had a tasty picnic and a beautiful day together.

A few pictures…
