“Miracles are a retelling in small letters of the very same story which is written across the whole world in letters too large for some of us to see.”

What does it mean to be beautiful?

Since I started to read Uglies with my oldest daughter, I have been wondering about beauty. What is it? How do we attain it? How  or what do I teach my daughters about beauty?

I came across this wonderful video interview…

Interesting film. This is an area I have struggled with virtually my entire life. First with being overweight, then I had wild and bushy hair when everyone had straight and feathered hair, then I lost most of my hair in my 20s. As a kid I had glasses and braces. There was always something. I think it helps to hit 40 – your perspective can change! LOL But my feeling is it's not the confidence of "self esteem" that makes us beautiful, but the confidence of "Christ esteem"! The most physically "ugly" person is beautiful when they are walking in the full love and strength of the Lord! I read the reviews for that book you are reading with your daughter. Sounds interesting!
