Flowers Everywhere

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009

I love having fresh flowers in the house! With both Valentine’s Day and birthday celebrations, we have  lot’s =)…

Tulips and Clemantis…the painting in the background was painted by my husband’s grandmother. She was a fairly well known painter in Italy. The painting is of her Italian estate, “Ricavo”.

Tulips are one of my very favorite flowers. I wish they lasted longer.

What’s Valentine’s Day without a red rose?  This one even survived being knocked to the ground by our cat. Bad kitty.

Looking for Lance

Friday, February 13th, 2009

I heard that Lance Armstrong was in town so I went on a little “Lance hunt” this morning in downtown Sac.  Sigh….I didn’t see him but I did have a chance to take a few photos of the state Capitol and a few of the surrounding buildings.  I really love  Sacramento and think it’s a beautiful city.

By the way, if you want to know what Lance is up to, you can follow him on Twitter…..

Puppies are Dangerous

Monday, February 9th, 2009

It started as an internet relationship.  We heard about their arrival. We were curious. We visited the blog.  The blog writer was very clever using video and profiles to entice the visitor. After that first virtual visit, we were hooked.  Over the following 9 days we visited daily. Finally, we knew we had to meet them in person.

We made the phone call. The voice on the other end was so sweet, “Suuurrreee…come over anytime. (evil laugh).”  We thought we were strong. Strong until we saw them sleeping in a pile so unaware of the visitors. We held them. We listened to their little grunts and cries. And, the most dangerous thing of all….we smelled puppy breath.  We met the Puppies Cooley.

Take this as a warning,  folks. These are cutest 7 little chubby puppies you’ll ever see. If you visit that blog long enough you are going to want to hold one. And if you hold one, you are doomed.

Simply beautiful.

Check out his little tongue.  Too cute.

Oh, sigh…..so sweet.

Zoti, the mama, is so gentle and affectionate.

Disclaimer: This blog post is in no way a declaration of intent to ever bring one of those adorable pups into my home.
I am absolutely, positively pretty sure of this (I think.)

I’m installing a great plugin on my blog. It’s called Twitter Updater. Whenever I post a new article, it automatically sends out a tweet. Pretty cool!

If you use Twitter, you may want to check this out: Twitter Updater
