From last night’s walk…

Yesterday evening I’m not sure if  our girls were extra LOUD or we were just grouchy but Mark & I decided we needed to get outside. It was a perfect time to go for a family walk at the Fair Oaks foot bridge…we ended up having a great time together…

Jessica and Mike #1

Before I head out of town this weekend…I thought I’d post a few photos from yesterday wonderful photo shoot…I’ll post the slideshow when I get back next week…

Yesterday I had such a great time in Old Town Auburn with Jessica & Mike. We went up to play a little and grab some fun engagement photos. It was so fun just being with these two and learning a bit more of their story.  I love how they build each other up and how comfortable they are together.

Mike & Jess, I am really looking forward to photographing your wedding next year!

To Have & To Hold for Sixty Years

Recently, I went to Oregon to photograph my friends folks. Don & Roberta have been married for over 60 years. Their time together has been marked by relationship – relationship to God first and then loving people.  They have a beautiful strong family with 6 kids and lots of grandchildren. Together they have served in Thailand as missionaries, in ministry and teaching.

Together they have had much joy and faced heartache as well. In these recent years,  they are facing together Don’s battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Now, unable to be at home due to dementia and physical ailments, Don lives in nursing care facility. Daily Roberta spends several hours there to be with him and care for his needs. Their commitment to the Lord and each other reminds me of what marriage is all about.

Married for over 60 years.
