I took this photo at a very cool second hand store called “Urban Ore” located in Berkeley. My niece, the artistic wonder & all around fabulous person, took us there – it was so cool. It was like a thrift store on steroids.
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:
a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance...
Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 (NIV)
You have turned for me my mourning into dancing… Psalm 30:11a (NASB)
Last night I started editing my photos from my recent Oregon trip & these just jumped out at me. We took these on a walk around the neighborhood. Kids really don’t come any cuter than this – except for my kids, of course =).
Susan — Love the vibrancy of these pictures. The one with the BIG leaf made me laugh! Cute is definitely a good descriptor. ( October 22, 2008 @ 7:49 am )
Lori — Wonderful! I gathered my little girls around to see their friends. Miss you guys. ( October 22, 2008 @ 8:03 am )
Theresa — These turned out awesome! I love the leaves. My Grandma had a Big Leaf Maple like that and oh the memories I have "raking" leaves - I don't think Grandma got much work out of us cousins! lol The maples are one of the things I really miss from living in the Pacific Northwest! Can't wait to see the rest of the pictures! ( October 22, 2008 @ 9:22 am )
Annette — I love the old train!!! ( October 13, 2008 @ 2:26 pm )
Elizabeth — I'm nuts about the texture and colors that you caught in this photo!!! It makes me want to sculpt something all flaky and rusting with rivets. Thanks for posting the photo. ( October 14, 2008 @ 10:50 am )
I’m going through my photo catalog this morning and came across this shot. It’s from last summer while we were up in Fort Bragg. We were driving down the highway on our way to Mendocino and I saw this guy. As we zoomed past, I took a quick picture. I love the look of him…he’s a man with stories.
