Duker — I like the color one on top the best. As far as freaking about $$'s. I think that is normal for us mere humans under the circumstances. I am just trying to remember the verses that we had on Sunday. That God will supply our EVERY need. I will prya for you and you can do the vice-versa !!   ( September 30, 2008 @ 7:23 am )
Theresa — If the background wasn't white, I would say that I like the color best as the tones are really pleasing with their skin, hair etc. But the white is distracting to me. I find myself thinking "did she cut and paste them?" "was it a light sky?" and my brain is working on that and missing the picture. The second, sepia one, helps me to focus on the faces and because it's basically monochromatic, my brain isn't distracted by the white. The tone of the BW doesn't work for me. It's like it still has just a hint of color to it - maybe too cool tone. Now if we didn't have all three to look at and compare, whichever one you posted would be nice. Proud Parent Moment – an update

9-27-08 Update:

Thank you to all of you for your encouraging words! My girl did a wonderful job with her speech – both with the writing and the delivery. And…she won the election! While she is very excited about winning, she is also a little sad for her opponent – a good friend from school. It seems that student elections are a little bittersweet.

I know that most parents think their kids are the most amazing and beautiful in the world.
The truth: MY kids are. =)

Take this one, for example. She is so gorgeous, smart, kind and creative. AND…she is running for Student Council this week. This lady has worked so hard at creating her campaign posters and working on her speech. Soon she will be giving her speech in front the of the school – she is very nervous but is so brave.

Pray for her as she campaigns, would you?

And….pray for me as I listen to her give her speech…that if (okay..it’s when) I cry that I do so quietly and that I don’t chew off my own hand from being so nervous for her =).

Duker — Oh man, This girl could make mute animals talk she is soooooooooooo georgous. It must run in the family and I have heard that her parents are pretty decent so I am not suprised that she is such an awesome kid. Will be praying for Gods will on the outcome of her campaign. Since I started to read Uglies with my oldest daughter, I have been wondering about beauty. What is it? How do we attain it? How  or what do I teach my daughters about beauty?

Theresa — Interesting film. This is an area I have struggled with virtually my entire life. First with being overweight, then I had wild and bushy hair when everyone had straight and feathered hair, then I lost most of my hair in my 20s. As a kid I had glasses and braces. There was always something. I think it helps to hit 40 - your perspective can change! LOL But my feeling is it's not the confidence of "self esteem" that makes us beautiful, but the confidence of "Christ esteem"! The most physically "ugly" person is beautiful when they are walking in the full love and strength of the Lord! I read the reviews for that book you are reading with your daughter.
