Duker — Jenny These are great! We have been to this event a few times. You capture the spirit of this really well. I am waiting with baited breath to see what you will be doing with my family !!   ( September 3, 2008 @ 7:41 am )

Theresa — Nice chaps! Pioneer Woman (www.pioneerwoman.com) would be proud! She LOVES chaps and has posted several times about the different men wearing chaps on their cattle ranch. These are the best pics I've ever seen from Old Sac Jenny. These really are marketable... are you checking local sources to see if they may want these?   ( September 8, 2008 @ 5:21 pm )

Susan — YOU took these pictures? Awesome! I could see these in a professional magazine. I loved the dust and smoke surrounding the gun-toting-shooting dude.   ( September 11, 2008 @ 10:57 pm )

Susan — Duker, I imagine that Jenny will be able to really capture the beauty, fun, and love that defines your family. :-)   ( September 11, 2008 @ 10:58 pm )

Emily & Sage

August 27, 2008

This last Saturday I had a wonderful time shooting Emily & Sage’s Wedding with Nudrat Shams Owens. Emily & Sage are a gorgeous couple who so clearly fit together. Nudrat was fabulous to work for – she’s a talented photographer and a beautiful, gracious lady.

Here a just a few from Saturday’s wedding:

I don’t know what he’s saying to her but she liked it…

doodah — Wow! Beautiful. Nice job.   ( August 27, 2008 @ 9:27 pm )

Duker — Oh Jenny You make me wan to be a bride all over again :P I soooooo remember the feelings that you invoke while looking at this couple ready to take on the next step of their journey.... You did an excellent job and love these. Keep up the fabulous work !! Duker   ( August 28, 2008 @ 7:45 am )

Theresa — Nice job! I can see that you are developing a style. Wedding photography has really come a LONG way over the last 5-10 years. I have shot about ten weddings, but my shots are very traditional. I have only shot one digital wedding with a borrowed camera and it was fun. I think I would enjoy it much more now that I have a DSLR. I'm glad you have had the chance to work with this photographer. The lighting looks good - natural or lights?   ( September 8, 2008 @ 5:25 pm )

Susan — The "She is stunning" picture looks like something out of a bride magazine! I love the upclose shot of her dress and flowers. What a great way to document them in a creative way.   ( September 11, 2008 @ 11:03 pm )

Visiting the Niña

August 21, 2008

In fourteen hundred ninety-two
Columbus sailed the ocean blue.
He had three ships and left from Spain…

Several days ago we had a cool opportunity to see a replica of Columbus’ favorite ship, the Niña.
I was so surprised at how small she was. I can’t imagine being at sea for such a long on such a small ship…

Susan — Cool pics. Where did you see the Niña? My kids HATE any talk about Columbus. When we were new homeschoolers, I was very zealous. More was better certainly applied to my teaching style. So, I showed exposed them to every book, article, movie, art project, curriculum, and hands-on activity I could find. I loved it. Them? Not so much. Over-eating to the point of vomiting is never a good thing and doesn't leave a pleasant after-taste.   ( August 22, 2008 @ 5:06 am )

Elizabeth — I was thinking exactly what mom wrote when I was looking at your photos. Then I saw that she left a post about making Tim and me loath Columbus. I still do. It makes me a little jaded, but your photos still are beautiful. I'll have to show Tim them.   ( August 24, 2008 @ 2:42 pm )

Duker — Jenny I like these pics but am anxiously awaiting some NEW stuff ! Talk to you soon and looking for some good things from you   ( August 27, 2008 @ 11:21 am )
